2. The intervention

A psychologist suggest an appropriate intervention to achieve positive mental health and wellbeing. A psychologist provided lectures and workshops to the police force which focused on topics such as stress management and aimed to promote positive mental health and build resilience among the employees. Following a critical incident or stressful event at work the psychologist also provided one to one sessions to support individuals suffering from stress and mood disorders and if required referred them onto a return to work programme.

The HR manager at the police force was extremely grateful for the work the psychologist provided.
