A bricklayer from Rochdale was involved in a accident at work which resulted in severe injury to both of his hands. Following discharge from the hospital it was evident that the bricklayer could not return to his previous position due to limitation in hand functioning. The bricklayers solicitor contacted TxOH to complete a occupational health report detailing the bricklayers likelihood of returning to full time employment, functional capacity, and possible occupation options.

The intervention

A team of HCPC and NMC registered therapists from TxOH assessed the extent of the bricklayers injuries and the impact they would have on occupational responsibilities. The occupational health report detailed the location, nature and extent of his injuries and functional limitations.

The results

The occupational health report revealed the brick layer was no longer able to return to his previous position. The report TxOH provided was used to claim suitable compensation that reflected his lack of employment opportunities post injury.
