A swimming teacher based in Preston was involved in a car accident which left her with multiple orthopedic injuries. Following discharge from the hospital she struggled to return to her previous working hours. The local council which she worked for requested an assessment be completed to provide possible recommendations on specific accommodations that could be made to aid her return to work or the possibility of ill health retirement.
An occupational health nurse and Physiotherapist completed a full assessment of the individual's functional capacity in relation to the physical and psychological demands of her occupation.
